Good times at Easter kids events in The Valley

Children from The Valley enjoyed two Play Street events over the Easter half-term, organised by City West Housing Trust.

The events ran on 3rd and 5th April. After a healthy breakfast, the children took part in wood work sessions and created Bug Hotels and Bird Feeders to encourage wildlife into the Community Garden.

We finished the session off with an Easter Egg Hunt that was made possible due to the kind donations of Easter eggs from children’s charity Wood Street Mission and Salford Citizen’s Advice Bureau. Although most of the eggs didn’t make it to Easter Sunday looking at the amount of chocolate-covered faces.

Thank you to our involved customers Anne, Becky and William and to staff Kate Bardsely and Linda Warburton for helping out during the week.

The project is delivering Community Impact objectives through the strategy themes of Health and neighbourhoods.
